    Life science companies in northern Sweden could double in a decade

    Small and medium-sized life science companies operating in the Västerbotten county in Sweden will double in numbers over the next ten years, while a vibrant scientific community will add to the growth. These are the goals set by Umeå Biotech Incubator (UBI), which is now entering a new development phase of its incubator operation in Umeå.

    Om tio år ska andelen små och medelstora företag inom life science-området ha fördubblats i Västerbotten, samtidigt som en bubblande community bidrar till tillväxten. Det är målsättningarna när UBI (Umeå Biotech Incubator) nu går in i nästa utvecklingsfas av sin inkubatorverksamhet i Umeå.

    Forskarna bakom Quretech Bio erhåller ytterligare 17 MSEK i anslag

    Forskarna bakom Quretech Bio AB, Umeå (Quretech) har under sommaren tilldelats forskaranslag om ca. 25 MSEK och har nu i höst beviljats ytterligare anslag om drygt 17 MSEK (varav 7,5 från Vetenskapsrådet, 8 från Fam. Erling Perssons stiftelse, samt, 2,1 från Umeå Universitet).
